Anyone else a fan of this Fox show? Too bad Marvel doesn't have the balls to cast Mark Valley as Steve Rogers/ cap. The guy looks just like him.

I've only seen the last 10 minutes or so of one episode but I really liked it. The only reason I haven't watched more is that I'm behind on the few hourlong weeklies I do watch regularly. Mark Valley is too old now, but I agree in his younger days he would have made a very good candidate for Cap.

Are there serialized elements throughout the season, or is each ep a complete one-off?

Dude, you really should check it out if you only seen 10 minutes. Awesome action for a tv show, but watch a couple episodes before you sign off on Valley being too old. I never figured Cap to be younger than at least 30, and Valley looks great for his age. And the stunt double stuff and cinematrography is great. The train fight from the Pilot is actually just one of many sharp hand-to-hand fight scenes.

Oh, if you liked how bad ass Jackie Earl Haley was as Rorschach in Watchmen, he's just as tough as Guerrero, Chance's go to guy, who looks tiny but thretens two thugs that he'll take a beating, but he will come to them when the go to sleep (off topic: he's gonna be an awesome Freddy). Chi McBride is cool too, kind of has a strong Danny Glover Predator 2/ Lethal Weapon 3 thing going on. But the episodic nature reminds me of the action adventure shows from the 1980's. If part of you misses stuff like A-team, I wholeheartedly recommend this series.

Cap is starting with the origin, which requires him to be around 23 (but with gravitas, like Reeve in SUPERMAN)...Valley does look great for his age but at 43 would never pass for younger than 35 w/o a team of WETA guys consuming half the FX budget. And that's before sequels.

You guys have sold me. I will definitely check out the show this summer when my current lineup of LOST, FRINGE, and SURVIVOR/AMAZING RACE ends. Full disclosure, though--and hopefully you won't resign membership on the spot--I was never an A-TEAM guy. Not sure why, b/c the movie looks like a lot of fun. But Valley/McBride/Haley is definitely a cast I can watch. Are there any serialized elements or is each ep a one-off?

Independent 40 minute episodes with a linear continuity of Chance's former employers looking for him, while knowing his first client ended up getting killed. And your not sure what Haley is, a thief, a spook, a former soldier, a criminal. You just know for a little guy the hage huge tough guy presence.

BTW- I didn't mean it was just like the A-team, it's like it's own thing. But that attempt at big action.

I'm not religious about watching this show (yet!), but it's got potential. Very entertaining.
